Hi everyone,
Sorry for the short notice but after hearing that the majority of girls will not be able to attend tonight’s meeting because of other spring break obligations I have decided to cancel tonight’s meeting.
Juniper Knoll Payment
Camp fees will be due no later than May 1st. Electronic payment through Venmo or Zelle is preferred but I will take cash or checks (Payable to Girl Scouts) on the 1st.
Homeless Drive
The girls have decided to put their efforts towards helping the homeless for this year’s service project. To that end we are asking for items to donate to the homeless shelter. We will also be putting together care packages for the homeless with items purchased with our cookie money proceeds. We will be collecting items at our meeting on May 1st.
Planned Outings
I am currently working on planning 2 outings before the end of the year.
I am working with The Kids Table to get a cooking class organized for the girls so they can earn their New Meals badge.
I’m also working with the American Indian Center to schedule an Archery lesson for the girls
Attendance concerns
I realize that as the girls grow their lives become very busy with all sorts of activities and that from time to time it is necessary for the girls to miss a meeting here and there. While I completely understand this, it is also important that if girls are not planning to attend a meeting that I be notified in advance. This will help in making decisions about our agenda and in the purchasing of supplies.
Please let me know if your girls are not interested in attending either the cooking lesson or archery lesson so I can provide accurate counts to the event coordinators.
A big thank you to those that do regularly let me know when your girls need to miss a day.
I hope everyone is having a lovely spring break and hopefully see you all on May 1st.
Hi, Alex. Was there a meeting on the 3rd? Alice said when she showed up, no one was there, so she left. Anyway, if she somehow missed you, I’m sorry because she intended to be there. Anyway, she could have made it tonight, but she can’t be there in the 1st because she’ll be on a school trip. Sorry about that — I know you’ve committed your time, and I try to make sure she respects that by showing up.
For the other two activities, I know she’d like to do them. She does have two weekends in May where she’s mostly unavailable, one of which is Juniper Knoll, so you wouldn’t schedule then anyway. But the circus group that she’s a part of will be performing their spring show the weekends of the 11/12 and 18/19. She’ll also have a dress rehearsal on Saturday the 4th, but that won’t go all day.
Thanks for everything!
Best, Katherine
