Hello all,
Yesterday we began work on our New Cuisines badge. It was a small group as illness and prior commitments caused some girls to miss the meeting. I wanted to send out this email so that those who were unable to attend still had an opportunity to earn the badge if they chose to. Bellow I have attached a document that lists the badge’s requirements.
As part of our badge work we needed to make something from another region of the United States and something from another era. We made an Ambrosia Salad which allowed us to cover both of those requirements and was a yummy treat for the meeting. I will attach a link to a simple recipe for the Ambrosia salad for the girls to make along with a link to the history of it to help fulfill requirements 2 and 3 of the badge work.
Requirement #1 is to make a dish from another country. This requirement will be fulfilled on the 19th at the Kid’s Table for the girls that will be attending the cooking class. For those girls unable to attend the class, they can make a dish of their own choosing and can email or text me a picture of the dish to fulfill that requirement.
Requirements 4 and 5 will be done on the honor system and the girls can do this on their own timing . As long as I can confirm that the girls completed steps 1-3 they will earn their badge.
As of now those that I have listed as attending the class are:
Savannah, Victoria, Isabella, Kaya, Carina, Ellery, Evelyn, and Madeline
Those that have said they are unable to attend are:
Harper, Olivia,
Josie as a maybe.
For those that are unable to attend the Cadette class there may be an opportunity for them to join in on the Junior class on May 26th from 6:00-7:00 if they would like. I’m waiting to here back on attendance capacity and if there is space.
