Hi Everyone,

Meeting Cancellation

Sorry for the short notice but due some health issues I will need to cancel tonight’s meeting.  We will not be meeting as scheduled.

Valentine’s Day Party

I did want to remind those that RSVP’d about the Valentine’s Day party tomorrow night in the Voss Center from 6:00-7:00.  I will not be there but I’m sure it will be a great time for all those in attendance.

Cookie Pickup instructions

Please remember that tomorrow night is also cookie pickup in the church basement.  Pickup will be going on from 2:30-7:30.  Because of online cookie sales the cookie pickup process will be a little more detailed to ensure that everyone leaves with the correct amount of cookies ordered.  When you arrive you will need to look for our troop table where the cookies should be separated by individual girl.  On top of each pile there will be a print out of all your online cookie orders as well as the cookie orders turned in personally.  If you  handed me your order form those will be returned as well.  Please use the printout to double check your box count as you will need to sign off that the order is accurate before leaving with your cookies.

Since this is our first year using Digital cookies some glitches may be expected.  If your cookie count is off for any reason just let me or Ann know and we will get it corrected for you.

Robotics Workshop

A Robotics workshop will be held in the church basement for all those wishing to participate.  The girls will be building their own mini robots along with other activities.  All girls participating will earn a badge for attending this workshop.  Because robot kits will be ordered for each girl it is mandatory that you RSVP if your daughter is planning to participate.  Please See additional details below.

WHEN: Saturday, March 9th 9:00-12:30

WHERE: Queen of Angels Church Basement

COST: $5.00 per scout

RSVP: Must let me or Ann know no later than Feb 22nd to ensure enough kits are ordered.  If you do not RSVP and decide to show up at the workshop there will NOT be a kit available for your child to build their own robot.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

The Girl Scouts will once again be walking in the ST. Patrick’s Day Parade this year.  The parade is on Saturday March 16th at noon.  If you are free and would like to walk in the parade you can join Ann and the other Girl Scouts.  There will be green pom poms provided to all the walkers.  All girls participating will also earn a fun patch to add to their sashes.  Additional information to follow.

MEETING REMINDER & TIME CHANGE

I just wanted to send out a meeting reminder for tomorrow’s meeting.  We will be meeting tomorrow night a little later than usual.  Our meeting will be from 6:30-7:30 in the Voss Center.  After tomorrow we will go back to the original schedule which means the following meeting will be on 2/13 as scheduled.

Also please see the attached flier for the optional all troop Valentine’s Day party on Feb. 14th.  There will be activity stations and should be lots of fun.  We do ask that NO additional treats be brought in.  There is a link on flier to RSVP if your daughter will be in attendance for the party.

COOKIE PICKUP

Also happening on Thursday February 14th from 2:30-7:30 in the church basement.  All cookies musts be picked up  that night.  If for any reason you cannot pick up your cookies please let me know ASAP so alternate arrangements can be made.

We do still need volunteers to help sort cookies that morning so if you have time and are willing please sign up to to sort cases between 10:00-2:00, to oversee cookies between 2:30-7:30 and clean up at 7:30.  If you do want to volunteer there is a link to the sign up sheet on the flier as well.

PAYMENTS FOR COOKIE ORDERS

Please make sure that if payment is still due it is turned in at this week’s meeting.  If it is easier to send it electronically you can do so through Venmo.  My user name for venmo @lexi-girlscouts or you also use my email address: lexi.toledo75@gmail.com

ROBOTICS WORKSHOP

I just wanted to let you all know about a Robotics workshop that is in the works for anyone interested in earning an additional badge outside of our normal meetings.  Queen of Angels is planning to host a Robotics workshop on March 9th from 9:00 – Noon.  The workshop will be held in the church basement and is open to all troop levels.  Currently there is a $2.00 cost per girl for the event.

just a reminder that we are NOT meeting this week due to shifting schedules and the extreme cold.

As for cookie money, if anyone would like to send in their cookie money via Venmo please feel free to do so. Any checks can still be turned it at our next meeting. Otherwise we can make individual arrangements for me to come pick up the money from you in the coming week at your convenience.

Please stay safe and warm as we all face the extreme cold these next couple of days. Please also keep the homeless in your thoughts and prayers in hopes that they all find some comfort and shelter from this extreme weather.

I wanted to remind everyone that we ARE NOT meeting this week. Our next meeting has been moved to Feb 6th because of the girls basketball game.

Also, I wanted to send a sincere heartfelt thank you for all the hard work you and your girls put into making this year’s cookie sales a smashing success.

I do have one last request For those of you who were brave enough to use the online platform. Can you please forward me the count of total boxes sold so I can confirm on our reports that everything imported correctly. Also please make sure that there are no pending orders waiting on your approval if the orders stay pending they will not get ordered. I know a few of you have already given me their online totals.

Again you have all been great and you should all be very proud of yourselves!

Just sending out one last reminder that all cookie orders need to be turned in by 5:00 pm today. If you haven’t already done so please email me or text me a copy of your cookie order form or a list of the cookies needed so I can enter the orders in.

Money can be turned it at our next meeting.

Please remember if you already submitted your orders online then you should be good and don’t need to do anything else. Also keep in mind that online orders can continue to be submitted through March with direct ship to your customers.

Just a reminder that cookie orders will need to be submitted to me no later than this Sunday the 20th at 5:00 PM so I can enter them into the order system.  Please email or text me your order sheet or totals and payments can then be turned in at our next meeting.

Thank you to those that have already turned in their orders to me or entered them in online.  As a reminder any orders submitted online by the 20th will be included in the cookie delivery in February.  Online orders will continue to be accepted after the 20th through March with direct ship only.

I know that the Waters basketball team has a few more games scheduled in the coming weeks so we will need to do a bit more shifting of schedules since the majority of the troop is also on the basketball team.  Our next schedule meeting is supposed to be Jan 30th however that is also a game night for the girls so we will swap meeting dates and meet on Feb. 6th instead.

I appreciate everyone’s flexibility as we maneuver past  basketball season and get back on schedule in February.

I just wanted to remind everyone of our meeting change due to the girls basketball game on 1/16. We will be meeting tonight 1/9 at 6:00 instead and will be working on our Animal helper badge.

Additional cookie info:

Initial cookie sales run through Jan 20th and delivery of these cookies is scheduled for Feb 14th or 15th. I will let you know as soon as a firm date has been set.

Online orders will continue to be accepted past January 20th through March but those orders will be direct ship only to the customer and with the additional shipping fee.

Any online orders submitted on or before Jan 20th will be included in the mass delivery in February unless direct ship was specified.

Hello everyone,

Ive been informed that there is a girls basketball game scheduled the same time as our meeting on the 16th. Since the majority of our troop will be playing in the basketball game I have decided to flip flop our meeting times with the Juniors.

The Cadettes will be meeting this Wednesday the 9th and the Juniors will be meeting on the 16th.

I apologize for the short notice of the date change and hope everyone can meet on the 9th.

For anyone that can’t meet on the 9th please feel free to still come on the 16th as I will have everyone work on a badge that both Juniors and Cadettes can earn. We will work on this badge on both dates that way everyone will have a chance to earn the badge.

I do believe it’s important to support the girls as much as possible in all their activities. Thank you to all for your flexibility and understanding while we get through this basketball season.

See you on the 9th and good luck to the girls on the basketball team.

HAPPY NEW YEAR:

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and I wanted to start off by wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year!  May prosperity and love find you and stay with you throughout the year!

COOKIE SALES:

Cookie Sales are officially underway as of January 1st and run through Jan 20th.  We are asking that each girl make an effort to sell 30 boxes if they can to earn a cookie sales badge.  Please note: I need to have the orders all keyed in by the 21st and since we don’t meet that day, I will accept an email or text with your complete order no later than 5:00 PM on Jan 21st.

By now all of you should have gotten an email from Digital Cookie explaining something new this year with the cookie program.  For the first  time this year cookie orders can be taken from family & friends and submitted online by you from the Digital Cookie Portal.  The email, which went out on Dec. 16th walks you through the entire process.  Please note that anyone placing an online order can select to have the cookies delivered to you for distribution or delivered directly to them.  If they choose direct delivery though, please make sure they know they will incur an additional delivery charge.

At anytime you can go into your web portal and check the progress of your digital cookie orders and can override any direct shipments that may have been placed.  Although it is the customer’s preference it is your final choice as to how the online orders will be delivered.

For those of you that were not able to attend Investiture and therefore unable to pick up your cookie packets I have attached a copy of the order form here.  Cookie Order Form Cookie orders will continue to be taken the traditional way as always with the digital option added as a bonus tool.  I do strongly recommend you collect the cookie money as the orders are placed, that way you aren’t chasing after the funds later as all funds need to be turned in at our meeting on the 30th.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns regarding cookie sales or the new online ordering platform.
