Valentine’s Day Party & Cookie Delivery

Hello all,

I just wanted to send a quick post to let you all know that there will be no Valentines Day party this week. Originally it was put on the schedule with the hopes that we would be able to meet all together but current Covid restrictions still do not allow for large gatherings with the other troops. We will meet next week 2/16 for our regularly scheduled meeting.

Cookie Delivery

Cookies will be delivered this Thursday, February 10th. Again due to Covid restrictions we will not be allowed to have cookie pickup in the church basement the way we used to. Laura and I will pick up the bulk cookie order for our troop and take them to Sharon Waller’s house. She has graciously allowed us to use her basement to sort cookies and for cookie pickup. Its my hope that we can schedule individual pickup between 4:00 – 6:00 on Thursday. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to pick up your cookie orders that day and we will make alternate arrangements to get the cookies to you.

Sharon’s address is 4916 N Francisco Ave. You can pull around the back through the alley. Hers will be the one with the basketball hoop and her gate will be unlocked.

Thank you to all those who participated in the cookie sales this year. Our troop did a great job. As always we will have extra cookies to sell. Once I have a full inventory of the extra cookies I will let you all know in case anyone gets additional requests for cookies.

White Pines Weekend…

Hello all,

Just sending a quick post to see if there is still interest in attending the White Pines horseback riding weekend. It is currently scheduled for the weekend of March 25th.

Per the ranch, all attendees will need to show proof of vaccination and will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing while indoors.

If anyone is still interested in attending please let me know by Jan 25th so we can plan the dorm situation. If need be we can spread out into two dorms to ensure distancing while we sleep.

Cookie Sales check in and meeting reminder…

I just wanted to send a quick reminder that we will be meeting tonight at 6 PM and the Voss center for our regularly scheduled meeting.

I also wanted to check in on cookie sales. As we are getting near the end of pre-order cookie sales I just wanted to remind everyone that I will need any in person order forms sent to me no later than Tuesday, January 18th so I can make sure that they are keyed into the system by the deadline. You can send them via email or text just so I have a copy of the order and then I can collect the money at the next scheduled meeting. Please feel free to send me a text (312-953-0405) with any questions you may have as I am having issues Retrieving my emails and may miss any messages you send.

Cookie sales are upon us!

Cookie Sales are here as you can tell by the information packets that went home with the girls on Wednesday.  Each packet should have contained a family newsletter, cookie order form, Goal-Getter order form, and a cookie money envelope.  I do have packets available for anyone that missed our last meeting and still want paper order forms. Also the digital cookie portal is a very nice tool in place of or in addition to the paper forms.

On December 11th every registered Girl Scout family should have received an email with instructions to access and set up their personal Digital Cookie website.  Cookies can be ordered and paid for directly from this website.

December 15th is the first day cookie orders can be placed.  Those purchasing cookies on the website will need to select how they would like their cookies delivered.  They can select between girl delivered (in person delivery) with no additional cost, or have them shipped directly to them for an additional charge.  As orders are placed you will need to go in and approve any orders where girl delivered was selected to ensure that you will be able to personally deliver those cookies. 

Cookie orders taken via the paper order form will need to be submitted to the troop leaders along with the full order payment by January 18th as we will need a day to enter those orders into the system.

This will conclude the initial order phase of the  sale. Cookie pickup for all girl delivered orders will be the week of February 4-13th.  The specific date and location for pickup will be announced when the information becomes available. 

The Goal Getter portion of the sale will begin February 7th and run through March 21st.  Any orders placed through the Digital Cookie portal during this time will be available for direct ship only.  Boxes of cookies can also be picked up in person at a designated Gathering Place Cookie Cupboard.  Please refer to the newsletter for instructions on obtaining cookies through the gathering places. Any orders placed during this time will, of course, be credited to the girls and count towards their prize goals.

We are asking that each girl try to sell at least 30 boxes of cookies which will earn them a patch.  They will then have an opportunity to earn additional prizes as they sell more boxes of cookies.

Meeting reminder 12/8

Hello all, this is just a quick reminder that we will be meeting tonight at 6:00 in the Voss center to paint and decorate nutcrackers as our holiday craft project. The girls will also be going home with their cookie sales packets. Please let me know if anyone will not be able to attend.

Meeting 12/8

Hey all,

I just wanted to remind you that our next meeting won’t be until 12/8. With the holiday season upon us our meeting schedule has shifted a little from the usual every other Wednesday.

We will only be meeting once in December since we will not be having an all troop investiture and also because of Christmas break.

Out December meeting will be an arts and crafts meeting where we will be painting and decorating it crackers. Hope to see everyone on the 8th.

Meeting cancelled this week.

I just wanted to let you all know that this week’s meeting has been cancelled. I apologize but in the craziness that is wedding planning I forgot to let you know that I will be on my honeymoon this week and won’t be back in time for Wednesday’s meeting. We will meet in the Voss Center for the next regularly scheduled meeting. Have a great week everyone.

Meeting Reminder 11/3

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to remind you all that we will be meeting this evening at Welles Park at 6:00 to complete our Field Day badge. The girls will be participating in several games and relay races so please have them dress warmly as the weather will be chilly. Going forward we will be meeting back in the Voss Center for our regularly scheduled meetings.

We will be meeting at the gazebo this evening. Cant wait to see you all there!

No Halloween party this week

Hi All,

I just wanted to send out a clarification to this week’s schedule. Originally we did have tomorrow designated as a potential all troop gathering for Halloween. Unfortunately, given that we are still dealing with pandemic issues we will not be having a Halloween party. I hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween and I will see you all next week.
