Hey all,

Just a reminder that we will be meeting tomorrow night at 6:00 for our regularly scheduled Girl Scout meeting. I know that Queen of Angels is having a talent show tomorrow night as well so some of you may choose to attend that instead which i can understand. Unfortunately we were unable to switch meeting times so if your daughter will not be at our scout meeting please let me know in advance.

Also cookie pick up will be on Thursday 2/1 from 1:00 until 6:00 PM in the church basement. if anyone is unable to pick up their cookies at that time please let me know ASAP as we do not have storage space in the basement and will need to make alternate arrangements.

Hello all,

I wanted to touch base with you all about cookie delivery and Pickup.

Cookie delivery is scheduled for next Thursday 2/1/24. The truck should arrive between 8:30 and 10:00 AM at the church basement. Cookies will be counted and sorted that morning and we anticipate parent pickup can begin at 1:00 and will end no later than 6:00 PM.

We do ask that everyone pick up your cookie orders that day as we do not have any where to store the cookies in the church basement. If this will be an issue for anyone, please let me know as soon as possible so we can come up with alternate arrangements. 

We are also looking for any and all volunteers that can help with the initial cookie sorting in the morning or with individual troop and girl sorting during the day. If you are able to help with sorting at any time that day please let me know along with what times you can be there for so we can ensure that we have enough volunteers on hand. Any and all help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Also, If anyone has any cookie orders that need to be entered manually, please either text me or email me the cookie counts by 7:00 PM tonight so I can enter the orders in by cut off time.

I know we have a meeting scheduled for tomorrow but with Christmas fast approaching I realize that schedules can be quite hectic right now so we will not be meeting tomorrow night.

I just wanted to remind everyone that today is the official start of Cookie Season. Digital Cookie is now open for online sales. I do encourage everyone to use Digital Cookie as your main selling platform since orders can be placed and paid for directly by the person ordering cookies which means less to deal with on the back end. 

Everyone should have gotten an email on the 9th with instructions to get into both Digital Cookie. If you did not get that email, you can always click on the following link to have the email resent: https://digitalcookie.girlscouts.org/login-help

We do ask that each girl attempt to sell a minimum of 35 boxes of cookies for which they will earn a patch with higher awards given for higher sales of course. The proceeds earned from the sale will go towards funding whichever community service project the girls decide to choose.

Some Important dates to remember:

SALE DATES:

December 15th THROUGH January 15. It is also the last day for online girl delivered
sales. No New Cookie. Last year for S’Mores.

All cookie card orders need to be turned in no later than January 15th so that I can manually enter them by January 17th. Money for those orders can be turned in at the following troop meeting.

COOKIE Rally:

Allstate Arena, January 6th at 2:00 pm, 5 pm On Ice Skating Rally. Wolves game at 7
pm. $22 by December 4 th $24 effective December 5 th . Can do all activities and game or just game, up to family. Register online. Food package better than individual (for game).

I just wanted to remind everyone that we will be getting together this Wednesday for our all troop Investiture ceremony at 6:00 in the church basement. We will be opening the gathering with a flag ceremony then the girls will be getting their Art Apprentice and Tree badges as well as a patch for attending Investiture. The other troops will also be getting their badges then we will end the evening with a dessert potluck. Please feel free to bring a dessert if you wish, we just ask that if it contains dairy, eggs, or nuts that it is labeled appropriately.

If anyone is unable to make in Wednesday please let me know as soon as possible.

Just a quick reminder that we will be meeting tonight at 6:00 to begin work on our tree badge.

Investiture

I also wanted to remind everyone that next Wednesday, December 13 will be our all troop Investiture celebration in the church basement. It will be a dessert potluck so please feel free to bring a treat but we do ask that you label anything that has dairy or nuts in it so that those with allergies can be aware.

We will need one Cadette to help bring in the American flag for the opening ceremony and another to perhaps to a reading of some sort.

As we all prepare to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with our loved ones, ijust wanted to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for you all. I feel honored and blessed to have had the opportunity to be a Girl scout leader and in turn get to know each and every one of you special girls and parents throughout the years. You have all left a permanent impression on me and have helped mold me into the person I am today.

Thank you for all your participation and help to ensure that the troop always runs smoothly and that we all learn and have fun together. I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a safe journey to all of those traveling this week.
